EXPERIMENTS IN SPATIAL DESIGN

EXPERIMENTS IN SPATIAL DESIGN

Tate Modern invited ON/OFF to hold a series of workshops across 5 weeks to work with members of the public to develop a series of Comachines. Along the way, participants were introduced to some skills for drawing, modelling and 1:1 prototyping as part of a general introduction to the practice of Spatial Design. The workshops were initiated in response to the Olafur Eliasson exhibition, In Real Life, on show at the museum. Participants were challenged to analyse this show and make their own spatial installations which could roam around the building. The workshops culminated in a host of Comachines being built to test and play with different public spaces surrounding the Tate Modern Museum.
